Exchange process

Introduction

Exchange enables user to instantiate one exchange process. An exchange process means to send a serviceable rotable to a customer, to receive the unserviceable rotable, to send the received rotable to a repair shop if the serviceable is from stock or to send the received rotable to a vendor if the exchange is contracted with a vendor.

There are two distinct contractual exchanges:

• Flat exchange
• Exchange plus cost

The flat exchange is useful when the exchange price includes repair cost.  The Exchange plus cost is useful when the repair have to be invoiced to customer. In the two cases, all freight can be invoiced to customer as soon as the rotable is delivered.

According to the origin of the rotable (stock or vendor), there are two major processes :

• Exchange  from stock
• Exchange with vendor
