Introduction

Inventory control is somewhere the heart of an ERP software .  To understand how Inventory control works into SPM, it implies a set concepts and a lot of tools :

• Site and Store architecture : All stocks of spare parts are ruled by the site/store architecture.

• Stock management : All stocks of spare parts are managed by rules applied for all processes.

• Part Number : The Part Number form gives a lot information about one precise Part Number.
• Receipt Form & Delivery Note : All entries and all outputs are managed and tracked with a document.
• Bin number : Each Part Number are organized by precise location

• Inventory: This tool enable to know which spare part are physically present in a stock by the time.

• Items :  All real objects are items :   spare parts, consumables, expendables, tools, chemical products, any part numbers, rotable components.

• Stock analysis: This tool show an analysis of spare parts present or used to be present in one store.

• Re-provisioning forecast: This statistical tool allow to define which spare parts have to be ordered.

• Minimum quantity manager: This statistical tool allow to define minimum by using vendor lead time and customer orders

• Restocking worksheet: This worksheet helps to create Restocking Purchase Order

• Store barometer : This tool help the store manager to plan the work.
